Favorites/Most Worn in June

I haven't really worn much make up this month, but I have worn bronzers almost every day. All three products from that IsaDora set I reviewed landed in my favorites for this month. They are such wonderful products even for someone as pale as I am. Another fantastic bronzer for paler skin tones is the Estee Lauder one (review here). I apply bronzer with the softest brush ever - the Ecotools Bamboo Bronzer brush. Apart from bronzers, I only wore my trusted Volume Million Lashes mascara, Givenchy Matissime powder, highlighter by Jemma Kidd and occasionally some lip gloss, either the IsaDora 21 Apricot Pink or Essence Stay with me in My favorite milkshake. The only blush I wore (and even that only a few times) was Coralista by BeneFit. Essence BBC Pink Heat was the only nail polish I wore. And again in my favorites are both Nuxe Multipurpose oil (I've been using it every day since I bought it, I just love it) and CK Euphoria.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

IsaDora Sun Protecting Make Up Set

Müller is/was selling this brilliant set of IsaDora make up and it immediately caught my attention. For 8 € you get a gel bronzer (35 ml), a powder bronzer (11 g) and a lip gloss (6 ml). That is a fantastic deal if you ask me. All products have sun protection, although it could be higher.

I'll start with the gel bronzer. It's brilliant. Not to dark, it's almost like a darker foundation and has no orange tones in it. I'm about NC 15 (Healthy Mix 51) and it doesn't look fake on me at all. I apply it all over the face and neck (also ears) and it just looks like I have a natural, subtle tan. The texture is quite creamy, not greasy and it blends nicely. It's also perfect for mixing with your regular foundation. It's not scented and it has a SPF 10. The packaging is a nice squeeze tube. Overall a great product.
A heavy swatch on the left and blended out on the right (It doesn't have shimmer that shimmer is from a previous swatch):

Compact Powder in 42 Terracotta Nougat is another brilliant product for paler skintones. It's supposed to be matte, but it does contain some gold shimmer. I apply it on the cheeks, neck and chest. It does not look orange at all, it's just a beautiful tan colour. This one has an SPF 8. It's nicely pigmented and soft, I use the Ecotools brush for bronzer, however it does come with a little sponge, but I don't find it that useful. The packaging is bright yellow-orange and  it has a small mirror. The only thing I have difficulties with is that it's a bit hard to open.

Swatches of all three products:

The last thing is the lip gloss in 21 Apricot Pink. It a beautiful pink shade with some peach and with lots of gold shimmer. It's very sheer on the lips, but the shimmer makes it look amazing. I've been wearing this gloss almost every day since I bought it. My swatch on the lips really doesn't give it justice. It's not sticky and just feels lovely on the lips. It has a brush applicator.

And here is a comparison of my Estee Lauder bronzer and IsaDora bronzer:

I bought this set about a week ago and I remember they had quite a few more of them, but as my cousin informed me they aren't there anymore. So I you do happen to find them, I highly recommend it. It's a great value for money.
Hope this post was helpful and thanks for reading.

L'Oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow in 002 Hourglass Beige

I already raved about the shade 012 Endless Chocolate here, of course I had to purchase another shade. 002 Hourglass Beige is a very shimmery light gold color, gorgeous shade for all over the lid or just as a highlighter in the inner corners. These eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented. The same as 012, 002 also last all day, it just fades a bit (with just foundation as a base). You can use it as a cheek highlighter, but it is very shimmery, so perhaps it's more appropriate for special occasions. Similarly as 012 this shade is also a bit harder to blend. Color Infaillible eyeshadows cost around 8 € and you can get them in almost every drugstore.

This Week's Haul and L'Oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadow

I needed a couple of basic items, stuff like shower gel, body lotion, etc,... I got Nivea Free Time because of the scent. It's very sweet, supposedly it's the scent of the carambola fruit (I love tropical fruit scents). Well I love the scent from the bottle, but it's nearly non existent on the skin. But overall it's actually a nice shower gel, it doesn't dry out my skin.
I've been buying the Nivea Angel Star deodorant for a year now. I adore the scent, it's very sweet and girlly.
Garnier Intensive 7 days disappointed me completely. It's too runny so I feel like it's not moisturizing enough (btw my favorite ever lotion is the Dove one. That one is pretty much the perfect moisturizer, but they changed the packaging again and now I'm confused which one it is). I like the fresh fruity scent from the bottle, but on my skin it transforms into some weird smell that just lingers for hours. Eh...
Alverde Body Spray Grapefruit and Kiwi smells very sweet and citrusy, unfortunately the scent stays for about a minute. I'll keep it in my bag as a refreshing mist for hot days.

And the best purchase of the week - L'Oreal's Color Infaillible eyeshadow in 012 Endless Chocolate. It's a gorgeous chocolate-bronze shade, one of the prettiest shades I own. It's actually like a pressed pigment, very soft and very pigmented. I will definitely pick up some more colors (midnight blue is freakin' gorgeous. And the golden and silver one!). I tested it's staying power and it lasted the entire day, it faded just a bit (I used foundation as a base). I do find it a bit more difficult to blend.

Some Swatches - Manhattan, Bourjois and Essence

Apart from the IsaDora bronzer my cousin also lent a couple of other make up items for blog review purposes. First off is Manhattan's Mousse Rouge in 39 D Apricot, which is as the name suggests, an apricot shade. The formula is very similar to Maybelline's mousse blushes, it's a light mousse texture, very easy to apply and blend. In terms of shade Apricot is similar in colour to Maybelline Dream Touch blush in Peach, just darker. It doesn't have any shimmer. I don't know how much these cost, probably somewhere between 5-8 €.

Bourjois Effect 3D in Brun Poetic is a beautiful nude shade with silver shimmer. I used to have this one in the old packaging and it's the same colour. It has a brush applicator. I think it's about 10 €.

And another more or less pointless swatch, considering that you can't get it anywhere anymore because it's limited edition. It the liquid blush from Blossom etc,... TE in 01 Flowerkissed. It quite sheer, so you have to build up the colour gradually, but it gives a lovely light pink flush.

IsaDora Bronzing Powder 90 Bronze Tan

90 Bronze tan is a part of IsaDora's summer collection called Jungle Fever. There are 4 bronzers in this collection, some are matte and some have a light shimmer. 90 is a matte bronze colour and it's not in the least bit orange, it's also very pigmented. I don't own one, but my cousin does, so she graciously allowed  me to use hers for review purposes. The compact is massive (about twice the size of my Estee Lauder one) and it has a big mirror, which is very handy. My cousin is about NC20-25 (Healty Mix 53) and she loves it, it suits her perfectly. Unfortunately it's too bronze to be good for contouring. She payed about 15 € for it with a discount, I believe the original price was around 19€.

My Current Skin Care

As promised here is my post on my current skin care. First something about my skin. I have combination skin with oily T-zone, but otherwise my skin is normal. I also used to have very dehydrated skin with dry patches on my forehead, but now thanks to Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum they're gone. I never had a lot of spots or imperfections. My skin also doesn't tan and I have some freckles in the summer. In the last months I completely changed my skincare. Before I only used baby wash and CadeaVera Young moisturizer (which isn't that good btw), resulting in having loads of dry areas and patches. Since I changed my skincare, my skin looks so much better. In the last month my skin got so much better, I have no spots, no dry patches and my skin looks so much healthier (especially after I started using the aspirin toner and Nuxe oil).

I rarely use Neutrogena Visibly Clear Wash mask 2 in 1, simply because I forget, but I included it anyway. It's a great mask, contains kaolin and salicylic acid which makes it suitable for oily to combination skin. I love the fact that is comes in a big squeeze tube (I really hate those mini bags, there so messy) so it lasts for months. It makes your skin look so much more clear, fresh and healthier. Plus it's not that expensive considering how much you get, I think it's about 5 € for 150 ml and it's easily accessible.

Once a week I use a home made scrub with some baking soda mixed with a drop of water. I then very gently rub it on the skin (the key here is gentle or you might end up with a chemical burn) and than rinse right away (I don't tend to leave it on like some people do). I makes your skin so super soft, I'm still amazed. I don't use it too often because some reviewers on MUA said it can destroy your protective acid mantle. I already wrote about baking soda here.

Now to everyday stuff. For removing my make up I use my trusted Bioderma Sensibio, which is so incredibly gentle. It literally feels like water, it doesn't irritate my eyes and it also removes waterproof mascara. You can get it in pharmacies, 100 ml bottle is 7 €, 250 ml bottle is 11 €.
If I'm at home I currently use L'Oreal Perfect Clean for sensitive skin. It's ok, it's a bit thicker than your regular gel, but I find it a bit drying so I probably won't repurchase it. That rubbery scrub thingy is actually nice.
When I'm in Ljubljana I've been just using honey (I have the one in a squeeze tube) as a face wash, simply because I'm too lazy to go and buy another baby shower gel. I've been using it for over a month and it's actually not that bad. But you might not like it, because it doesn't rinse of completely, even if you rinse vigorously it will leave a film. Personally I don't mind, because honey is an antiseptic, contains lots of vitamins and lots of other good things for your skin. I also use honey as a mask and leave it on for about 10 minutes and it makes your skin look so lovely.

After cleansing I use my home made aspirin toner. I so easy to make and it works amazing. You need an empty bottle, some aspirin and aloe vera. Mix 50 ml of water, 1-2 crushed aspirins (you really don't need more, because aspirin solubility in water is 100 mg per 100 ml at room temperature, so you'll be throwing pills away. I use one.) and a couple of squirts of aloe vera gel (I have the Sun Dance one). I suggest you read some review on MUA, if you need more information. I love this toner. My skin got a million times better after using it. Those spots that I had healed much faster and now I have barely any spots (they're minute anyway).

Next I use Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum. I already wrote a review for it. I use one pump for my face. It got rid of my dry patches and my make up (foundation) looks so much better now. It's about 21 € and you can get it in pharmacies.

I mix Vichy's serum with a couple of drops of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multipurpose Dry Oil, which I already raved about here. I adore it, I already wrote all about it in my review, but it just made my skin so radiant and healthy looking. In my opinion it works as good and even better than Vichy serum, the only thing is that you use a lot less of the oil that the serum so I'll keep repurchasing it (and skip Vichy serum, having both is just too expensive). Nuxe is also available in pharmacies, 50 ml cost around 18 €, 100 ml is around 30 €. I also use it on my body and hair, it's really a multipurpose product.

The last thing that I've been using only for a couple of weeks is the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for face and decollete (in that white L'Occitane bottle, I don't actually own a full size product). It's like a gradual self tanner and I love it. You apply it with a cotton pad, it doesn't leave my skin greasy, the tan is very even and lovely. I'll buy the full size. My cousin got it from feelunique.com for about 17 €.

So this is it. I hope you find this post helpful. Have a great day.

May Favorites

This month's favorites post will include a bit more products than usual, I just had a lot of favorites this month. (colored text is a link to the review)
Starting with make up: again featured in my favorites is L'Oreal Million Lashes Extra Black mascara. It is my HG mascara, it separates beautifully, gives length and volume plus it's really black. I think I only wore E.l.f.s Mineral lipstick in Runway Pink this month, It's the perfect nude pink color, great for everyday. Miss Sporty nail polish in 370 is a coral pink shade which is great for summer. I love this nail polish, it applies so easy. I haven't wore any foundation or concealer this month because my skin got so much better, so I mostly wore only Givenchy Mattisime powder (great powder btw. I've had it for years, it doesn't actually leave completely mat finish but a bit satiny, which in my opinion looks so much better) and sometimes E.l.f.'s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15. The reason I have this two products in my favorites is because they turned out to have fantastic sun protection. I spent the entire day in the sun with last years Sun Dance's sun screen and I got burned on my shoulders and back, but not on my face, because I was wearing the powder and tinted moisturizer. I've already raved about St.Tropez Bronzing Mousse and Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for face and decollete. There are two products that I loved the most this month and Calvin's Klein Euphoria is one of them. I know it's a bit strong for summer, but I just like it so much.

In the last month my skin got so much better. I think I only had one or two minute spots, but most of the time just clear, bright and very soft skin. I use Bioderma Sensibio for removing my make up, than I clean my skin with honey (yes, honey. I have the one in a squeeze tube because it's easier to use), next I use my homemade aspirin toner (brilliant stuff! I use one aspirin and a couple of squirts of aloe vera dissolved in 50 ml of water. It reduced spots to minimum, plus they heal so much faster. You can find how to make it yourself on MUA, just search for aspirin toner). As moisturizer I use my trusted Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum mixed with a drop or two of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multipurpose Dry oil and I swear my skin never looked better. My forehead looks retouched, no dry patches, no spots, just clear skin (I sound like a bad comercial, haha. I just hope it lasts!). Nuxe's oil is my favorite product this month, I use it on my face, hair and for my body, it's just amazing. I'll write a post on my complete skin care in the next days.

And the last three products are for hair. Orofluido Shampoo is one of the best (if not the best) shampoo I used. I leaves your hair soft and shinny in combination with Redken's All Soft Conditioner and John Frieda Brilliant Brunnete Shine Shock my very dry hair looks moisturized and shinny plus they are super soft, well at least for a couple of days, then they get really dry again (I need a good leave-in conditioner, I'm thinking something from Tigi S Factor). Redken's All Soft Conditoner leaves your hair super, super soft, no other conditioner had such an effect.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Have a great day :)
